EXPLORING DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE

An Interhouse Debate Competition for class VIII was organised on the topic “The President of India enjoys more power than the British Queen” as part of the ISA activity. “Exploring Democratic Governance” – which was a comparative study and analysis of democratic governments and constitutions of India, UK and USA. The debate was the culmination of a month long project in which the students researched and enhanced their awareness of the political systems of these three nations. Pranjali and Chestha of VIII D from Peace House bagged the first prize, Parnika Barara of VIII D and Vartika of VIII C from Freedom House got the second position and Sagar and Aakash Mittal of VIII B bagged the third prize for Empathy House.
